MISSIONARY CELEBRATIONS IN JEMIELNICA
As a part of the Missionary Week, the Missionary Club attached to the Primary School in Jemielnica organized Missionary Celebrations. Children and teenagers from the group PULS danced for the Franciscan Missions. The District Brass Band under the baton of Mr. Antoni Sklebica played for the African children and missionaries. Many people had a good time while listening to the "Radecki March", rock and roll and other lively tunes. The parson Henryk Pichen, the foreman Józef Swaczyna and our local representative, Mr. Andrzej Jastrzębski also graced us with their presence. Our housewives baked delicious cakes and prepared very good coffee. The missionary shop offered original products and pictures from Bolivia and Cameroon. The bidding of figures and pictures from Cameroon, led professionally by Mr. Piekuta, Rębacki and Mrs. Urszula Olesińska, cranked up the atmosphere. The celebration made a profit of more than 3 thousand zł, yet awakening of missionary enthusiasm and sensitivity to missionary needs seemed to be more important to us.
We would like to thank everybody, especially the teachers, parents and children who got really involved in organizing this celebration.
