Dear Friends of Franciscan Missions

Thank you very much for inviting me to cooperation as part of the Fr Dominik Kiesch Association of Friends of Franciscan Missions.
We have to make our whole surroundings missionary in order to feel God's presence. Christ's love does not have boundaries. We always have to go out to other people, our brothers in Christ, who are different and do not always accept our faith, who often do not understand it and recognize themselves as superior...
St Francis did not hesitate to meet the most rejected people of his times: leprous, enemies, Saracens (Muslims), poor people...
Today this is our mission. In the St Anthony Centre in Meknes we fight against illiteracy. We lead a formation which promotes Muslim women, we work with the children of the street, we help the Black students from Subsaharian Africa and we try to be among illegal emigrants who at all costs try to go to Europe perceived by them as the Paradise on Earth .
We have a library in the St Anthony Centre. There are 80 seats. Most of the chairs are broken. I would like to buy some chairs which would be of better quality and which could be used for a longer time. One chair costs about 200 Dirhams (20 Euros). At the beginning it would be good to purchase 40 chairs (40x20 Euros = 800 Euros).
Thanks to help of Italian people we managed to buy some books. For our everyday life we get help from the General Curia. We also got one-time help from Bolivia which sympathises with us.
